NECAP 2026
North East Community Awareness Plenary (NECAP) 2026
The North East Community Awareness Plenary (NECAP) 2026 is a community conference dedicated to raising awareness and promoting meaningful conversations around Women’s Health & Genomics. Organised by Viswapragna Foundation in collaboration with the Chandraprabha Saikiani Centre for Women Studies, Tezpur University, and supported by Rotary Club of Tezpur, District 3240, the event aims to bring reliable scientific knowledge closer to people and make important health information more accessible, understandable, and actionable.
Following the first NECAP conference in 2025, which focused on cancer and autism, NECAP 2026 continues this community-driven initiative with a broader focus on women’s health, preventive healthcare, cancer awareness, vaccination, and the emerging possibilities of genomics.
Women’s health encompasses every stage of life, from adolescence and menstrual health to reproductive health, cancer prevention, healthy ageing, and beyond. At the same time, advances in genomics are creating new opportunities to understand inherited risks, the relationship between genes and disease, and the role of environmental and lifestyle factors in health. NECAP 2026 seeks to bridge the gap between scientific progress and everyday understanding by creating a welcoming space where people can ask questions, learn from experts, exchange perspectives, and make informed decisions about their health.
The conference will feature expert-led sessions covering topics such as simplified genomics, cancer prevention and care, women’s empowerment, neurodiversity, women’s metabolic health, bone health, vaccination, and cancer screening. Through these discussions, the event aims to encourage awareness, challenge misconceptions, reduce stigma, and highlight the importance of prevention and timely medical guidance.
NECAP is built around a simple belief: people have questions, science has answers, and meaningful understanding begins when the two meet. By bringing medical professionals, researchers, educators, students, and community members together, NECAP 2026 aspires to strengthen health awareness and encourage informed conversations across communities.
Join us for a day of learning, discussion, and community engagement as we explore the questions that matter to women’s health and the future of healthcare.
